  If you put the seatbelt into the passengers
clip by accident then the warning light would stay on. Try it
and see.
This is not the first report we've heard
about a haunted car. Villagers of the Long district, in the Phrae
province of Thailand panicked recently when two dozen elderly
people died in quick succession. There
were strange stories circulating about a ghostly pick-up truck
that arrived without a driver.
The villagers, to repel the ghost,
festooned their homes with banners saying "This house does not
have any old people".

The Ghost Car 
It's not my house that's haunted but my car. When
I'm driving alone I have the overwhelming sensation that someone is
sat next to me in the passenger seat. On one occasion the seatbelt warning
light stayed on even though my own belt was secured.
