GHOST OF DAD
DAD ANNOUNCES BIRTH OF BABY
My sister, who lives 300 miles away from me, was sat by the fire at home. When she looked up, she saw our father approach her from the corner of the room. He was carrying a baby and held it out in front of him. “This is our Doreen’s baby. Isn’t she beautiful and what wonderful deep blue eyes she has” Then he disappeared.
My sister wasn’t frightened to see the ghost of dad, who had died some years before, but she was very surprised to hear the news about the baby. Unbeknown to her, I had a baby just as dad had told her. When my sister visited us 6 months later, she was delighted to see my daughter’s incredible blue eyes.
